Our Mission Statement

“The Piano Academy exists to provide quality, affordable piano tuition to students of all ages and abilities. Our focus is to deliver a structured weekly programme to successfully progress students through their chosen piano course. The Piano Academy seeks to develop each student as a musician, wherein individual skills will be fostered and nurtured in order to facilitate the use of their abilities in real-life musicianship.”

Jonathan Boyd established the Piano Academy in September 2010. He has much experience in teaching, both in a formal and informal setting. His experience and professional qualifications include:

• Grade 8 Piano from ABRSM
• Bachelor of Music from University of Ulster
• Master of Music from University of Ulster
• PGCE Music from University of Ulster
• 6 Years of Piano Tutoring experience (4 years in Causeway School of Music, Coleraine)
• 10 Years Worship Leading experience
• 10 Years of playing Jazz Piano
• Director of Music at Harryville Church, Ballymena
